The Chevron and Texaco Credit Cards are issued by Synchrony Bank ("SYNCB"). The
Privacy Policy governs the use of the Chevron and Texaco Credit Cards. This privacy policy is different than the privacy policy of Chevron.

Synchrony Bank encourages all interested consumers to apply for credit, however, you must be at least 18 years old to open an account.
A variety of factors are used in evaluating your credit application. Factors that increase your chance of approval include:             

  •  Your credit history is clear of bankruptcies and serious delinquent accounts.
  •  You have a valid Taxpayer Identification Number, such as a Social Security Number.
    The application is secure and uses 128 bit secure socket layer(SSL) technology.

You can review your new electronic statement by logging in to the service site and clicking on the "View Statement" link. For 'Paper Statement' delivery, no email notification will be provided.

    Optional Card Security - Up to $10,000 in protection on your Credit Card
    Give yourself peace of mind.
    With the optional Card Security program, your account balance up to $10,000 may be cancelled.
    What it does:
    Cancels your minimum monthly payment - or entire balance up to $10,000 - if certain events occur.
    What qualifies as an event:
    • unemployment
    • leave of absence
    • disability
    • hospitalization
    • nursing home stay
    • loss of life
    What it costs:
    $1.66 per $100 of the ending monthly balance on your account. For example, if your balance was $500, the cost
    would be $8.30 that month. See Card Security Debt Cancellation Program Agreement for complete details.
    What it provides: Peace of mind.
    If I choose to purchase Card Security, I understand there are eligibility requirements, conditions, and exclusions that could limit my right to receive benefits including:
  • All events must begin after I enroll in the program
  • I am eligible for benefits due to job loss or leave of absence only if those events occur after I have been enrolled for 30 days
  • Full-time job - I must have a full-time, year-round job to qualify for balance cancellation in the event of a job loss or leave of absence  
  • Part-time/Seasonal/Self-Employed - I am eligible for the cancellation of up to six minimum monthly payments   
  • Carefully read the agreement for a full explanation of the terms.
    I also understand that if I purchase Card Security:
    • SYNCB will bill my credit card account immediately a monthly fee of $1.66 per $100 of the ending monthly balance on my account statement
    • This fee will appear on my statement every month and will be charged even if I pay the statement balance in full
    • I understand that Card Security is optional, and whether or not I purchase the product will not affect my application for credit or my credit terms
    • I may cancel at any time

    • I am providing the information in this application to SYNCB and to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. SYNCB may provide information about me (even if my application is declined) to Chevron U.S.A. Inc. (and its affiliates) so that they can create and update their records, and provide me with service and special offers.
    • SYNCB may obtain information from others about me (including requesting reports from consumer reporting agencies and other sources) to evaluate my application, and to review, maintain or collect my account.
    • I consent to SYNCB and any other owner or servicer of my account contacting me about my account, including using any contact information or cell phone numbers I provide, and I consent to the use of any automatic telephone dialing system and/or an artificial or prerecorded voice when contacting me, even if I am charged for the call under my phone plan.
    • I have read and agree to the credit terms and other disclosures in this application, and I understand that if my application is approved, the Chevron and Texaco Visa® Card or the Chevron and Texaco credit card agreement ("Agreement") will be sent to me and will govern my account. Among other things, the Agreement: (1)includes a resolving a dispute with arbitration provision that limits my rights unless I reject the provision by following the provision's instructions; and (2) makes each applicant responsible for paying the entire amount of the credit extended.
