How do I apply for a JCPeney Credit Card?

It's easy to apply for a JCPenney Credit Card Online and it only takes a couple of minutes to complete the process. If you prefer, you may visit any JCPenney Store and apply for instant credit at any register or pick up an application, complete and mail it in.

How long until I receive my card?

Once you've been approved for a JCPenney Credit Card Online, it will take 7-10 business days to receive your card in the mail. If you don't receive your card within 10 business days, please contact JCPenney Credit Services at 1-800-527-4403 (monday - saturday from 9:00 am - 1:00 am eastern time and sunday from 11:00 am - 10:00 pm eastern time).

I did not get an immediate response on my application. What happens next?

If you did not receive an immediate response to your online credit application, you will receive correspondence from us via mail in 7-10 business days.

What should I do if I have questions regarding credit insurance?

If you have questions concerning credit insurance program, please call Stonebridge Life Insurance Company at 1-800-443-1031 during the hours of 8:00 am –8:00 pm Central Time, Monday through Friday.

Do I need to call to activate my card before I use it?
You may need to call to activate your card. Check the label on your card for activation instructions.

Can I use my account at a JCPenney Store before I receive my card in the mail?

Yes, just bring valid photo identification to the customer service area in any JCPenney Store and they will issue you a temporary card to allow you to purchase that day in the store. your account will be honored 24 hours after you are approved.

Where can my JCPenney Credit Card be used?

your JCPenney Credit Card can be used at all JCPenney Stores, jcp.com, Sephora.com, CVS/Pharmacy and Rite Aid Pharmacy.

What is the JCPenney Online Credit Center?
The JCPenney Online Credit Center is a convenient resource for JCPenney cardmembers to:

  • Learn more about exclusive savings opportunities.
  • Find answers to questions about your JCPenney Credit Card Account.
  • Log-in to access account information and e-Services.

Why do I need to enter personal information to log-in?

you need to provide some personal information to log-in to ensure that your account is protected from unauthorized access.

What account information is available online?
Once you have your JCPenney Credit Card, you can log-in to view:
  • Account Summary - Gives you an overview of your account including: current balance, credit line, available credit, amount currently due, last bill date and a amount, last sale date and amount and last payment date and amount.

  • Statements-Gives you access to view your bill online. Provides summary of your recent transactions and past 3 billing periods.

  • Payments- you can pay your bill online, access your payment history or set up and edit your bank information.

  • Account Service- Allows you to set up email alerts to notify you when your payment is due or when your paymenthas been received. You can also request a creditline increase, report your card as lost/stolen or request a replacement card.

  • Manage Profile- You can update your address/ Phone/ email; or your security information, or change your privace option.

  • Contact Us- You contact us by sending us emails through the secure online message center.

What are e-Services?

e-Services are online email message forms that let you make secure inquiries about your JCPenney account. Currently you can send an online request to advise us of a payment status, request an additional card, request a statement, request to close your account, and request a credit limit decrease.

Our webserver may be down for maintenance purposes daily between Midnight and 6:00 am Eastern Time.
